Here at Ailytics, we're building AI solutions to envision a safer world. By combining computer vision and predictive analytics, we enable organizations to proactively identify risks, optimize processes, and ultimately save lives. Our platforms are currently deployed all over the world, covering more than 500 million square meters!
As our Technical Product Manager, you will sit between our customers, our business stakeholders and our engineering team, and turn real customer needs into product that scales. You will work directly with our CTO on a day-to-day basis, together with Product and senior management, to set and drive product direction.
What makes this role different from most PM jobs is that our product is AI. You need to genuinely understand how our AI applications work, not at the level of training models, but well enough to reason credibly about what is feasible, what a model can and cannot be expected to do, why something was missed, and what it would really take to support a new use case. Vague requirements do not survive contact with computer vision.
We are a startup, and you will rarely have every resource you would like. We need someone genuinely solution-oriented, who finds the clever path, scopes intelligently to what is achievable, and makes ends meet with what is actually available, rather than waiting for ideal conditions.
Our customers and business teams span multiple regions, so it will at times mean working outside standard office hours to support a client or business need. We are upfront about this because it is a real part of the job, not an occasional exception.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work directly with the CTO, day to day. Partner with the CTO, Product and senior management to set product direction and decide what we build next and why.
- Convert real customer requests into scalable product features. Distinguish a one-off ask from a genuine pattern, and specify features that serve many customers rather than solving for one.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders across sales, operations and customer success to understand what customers actually need, and translate that into clear, actionable requirements.
- Own the roadmap. Balance short-term business needs against long-term product direction, and be able to explain the trade-offs you have made.
- Plan workload and timelines. Break work into deliverable scope, sequence it sensibly against available capacity, set realistic timelines, and flag risk early rather than late.
- Write requirements that hold up for AI products. Account for model limitations, edge cases, accuracy expectations and failure modes, not just the happy path.
- Work with on-site and remote engineers to deliver high-impact features on time and in scope, actively unblocking roadblocks as they appear.
- Define success metrics and act on them. Identify what good looks like before launch, monitor performance after, and iterate based on real usage and business outcomes.
- Help mature how we do product. Bring structure, clarity and better ways of working as the company and the team grow.
Our Ideal Requirements
- An engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
- A working understanding of Python. Enough to read code, query data, and prototype or validate an idea yourself rather than queuing for someone else to do it.
- Solid grasp of software development and computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, and what they imply for feasibility and effort.
- A real understanding of how AI/ML applications work in practice. You do not need to build models, but you should be able to reason about accuracy, false positives, edge cases and model limitations well enough to hold your own with engineers and set honest expectations with customers.
- 3+ years of product management experience, comfortable owning the standard PM toolkit and ways of working.
- Experience across the full product lifecycle, from gathering requirements and drafting roadmaps through launch and post-launch assessment.
- Strong communication skills. You can move between a technical conversation with engineers and a commercial one with stakeholders without losing either audience.
- Significant independence and ownership, with the ability to drive work forward across in-person and remote teams.
- A high degree of flexibility and an open mind. Your responsibilities and focus will vary considerably over time. Expect many, many hats.
Why Work At Ailytics?
- Lasting impact at the intersection of AI and safety. Our systems are used daily by enterprise customers across Asia and beyond, in environments where a missed detection genuinely matters.
- We're a startup still in its early stages, so there's real room to shape both the product and the way we build it.
- A direct line to the CTO and leadership. You will work with the CTO daily and with senior management on direction, with no layers between you and the decisions that matter.
- Genuinely interesting product problems. AI products are harder to specify than ordinary software, and getting them right is a craft you will develop quickly here.
- We value strong standards, high transparency, and low egos. Let us know if this sounds like you.
